Beamer-Halterung
Vorwort
Für die Band Siambok mache ich Live Visuals. Höchstens die Hälfte aller Locations hat einen Beamer und noch weniger eine passende Leinwand dazu. Also habe ich mir einen Beamer gekauft und mir überlegt, wie ich diesen vor Ort befestigen kann. Die Bedingungen sind mir vorher nicht bekannt, also brauche ich ein Halterung, die vielseitig verwendbar ist.
Erwartungen
Was ich von der Halterung erwarte ist folgendes:
- preiswert
- stabil
- in alle Richtungen schwenkbar
- an gerade Flächen (Bretter, Tische) sowie an Rohren (Traversen, Stative) anbringbar
Einzelteile
Ich habe die Beschreibung von VJ Kung Fu gefunden und mit dieser Inspiration folgende Teile besorgt.
- Schrauben (M3), Muttern, Unterlegscheiben (ca. 3 Euro)
- Manfrotto Super-Clamp Universalklammer (15,90 Euro) (Thomann)
- Avenger Baby Wall Plate mit beweglichem 16mm Zapfen (47,00 Euro) (Laterna Magica)
- altes Küchenbrett aus Kunststoff (0 Euro)
Montage
In ein Brett (in meinem Fall ein Küchenbrett) bohrt man Löcher um an diesem zum einen den Beamer zu befestigen und zum anderen die Baby Wall Plate. Zwischen Beamer und Platte habe ich durch angebrachte Muttern ein wenig Abstand gelassen, damit noch Luft an das Gerät kommt. Die Unterlegscheiben brauchte ich vor allem bei der Baby Wall Plate, da ich dort wie an meinem Beamer M3 Schrauben verwendete, deren Köpfe zu klein für die großen Löcher in der Platte waren. Nun kann man die Baby Wall Plate entweder direkt mit dem 16 mm Zapfen in Stativ stecken oder in die Manfrotto Universalklemme mit der man das Konstrukt beispielsweise an Platten, Bretter oder Rohren befestigen kann.
Fazit
Für 66 Euro kann man eine universell einsetzbare Beamer-Halterung bauen, welche laut Angaben der Einzelteile (bis auf das Küchenbrett) sogar mehrere Beamer halten könnte. Langzeittests liegen noch nicht vor, ich bin aber optimistisch.
Projector-Mount
Preface
I am making Live Visuals for the band Siambok. At most half of the locations have a projector and even less a proper screen. This is why I bought a projector and started to think how to mount it. The difficult part was that I normaly do not know the locations before I get there. This is why I needed a projector-mount which is very versatile.
Expectations
This is what I expected from a projector-mount:
- inexpensive
- solid
- rotable in all three axes
- mountable on round (tripods, crossbars) and flat (table, plate) objects
Parts
I found the post at VJ Kung Fu and it inspired me to get the following parts:
- screws (M3), nuts, shims (approx. 3 Euro)
- Manfrotto Super-Clamp (15,90 Euro) (Thomann)
- Avenger Baby Wall Plate with movable 3/8 inch (16mm) spigot (47,00 Euro) (Laterna Magica)
- old plastic chopping board (0 Euro)
Assembling
You have to drill some holes in a board (in my case the old plastic chopping board) for the projector and for the Baby Wall Plate. While screwing togehter projector, board and plate I left some space between the projector and the board with nuts for the cooling of the unit. I used the shims mainly because the holes of the plate where to large for the screws. The mount can be used directly with the Baby Wall Plate attached to a tripod or together with the Manfrotto Super-Clamp on crossbars, tables, plates, etc.
Conclusion
For 66 Euro (approx. 100 USD) you can get an all-purpose projector mount which could hold the weigth of serveral beamers according to the description of the parts (except the board which has no descripton). I have no long-term experience with this mount but I am optimistic that it will be perfect for the job.
